A POLICE sergeant in Humberside has been disciplined for using excessive force, while another has been warned about having an inappropriate relationship with a vulnerable female.
The outcomes of gross misconduct cases is now being published by the Humberside force on its website in a bid to increase transparency, although the employees have not been identified.
The force said: "We are committed to transparency and when our staff fall short of our Code of ethics we feel it is important to tell the public."
It revealed that a sergeant and also a constable had both been given final written warnings for use of excessive force and discreditable conduct.
A sergeant had also been disciplined in the same way for the inappropriate relationship, which was referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC), who managed the investigation.
A police staff member was also dismissed for numerous traffic offences and then lying about them to officers and managers.
