THE Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team was called out by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service this afternoon to help an injured mountain biker in Dalby Forest, near Pickering.
A team spokesman said the male cyclist had suffered lacerations to an arm through contact with the bike brake lever.
Twelve team members went to the incident at Dixon's Hollow and, after dressing the wound, the cyclist and his bike were evacuated to his car in one of the team ambulances.
