DOG owners are being invited to take their pet on an annual dog walk at York's Knavesmire.
The charity Keep Your Pet (KYP) is hoping this year's event will be as successful as in 2014 which raised more than £1,000 and was attended by 200 people and their dogs.
Keith Martin, chair of KYP, said: “We thought we might get around 30 dogs and we got more than a hundred. The dogs all behaved impeccably and there was a lovely atmosphere. We were thrilled to see so much support for KYP, even including one couple who live in Edinburgh. We would love to see everyone again this year.”
This year's walk will start at 11am on April 26.
Walkers can register from 10.30am and the entry fee is £5 per dog or family.
Further information, sponsorship forms and entry forms are available from keepyourpet@ageukyork.org.uk or 01904 726191, although there is no need to register in advance.
