HUGH DALLAS has lent his support to Scotland's Euro 2008 bid this weekend.

The country's former top referee paid a visit to Alex McLeish's squad at their Loch Lomond training base this week.

Dallas, who was forth official at the 2002 World Cup Final and is currently a member of the Uefa Referees Committee, passed on advice to the Scotland players.

They were warned what European referees are looking to crack down on and how to try and avoid being suspended for big games in the qualifying campaign.

Steven Pressley is out of Saturday's clash with Georgia because of the sending-off he received against Ukraine, and Gary Caldwell and Lee McCulloch are just one booking away from a ban.

Big Eck hopes the advice could help prevent his players picking up bookings which would leave him without key players in the future.

Danish whistler Nicolai Vollquartz will take charge of the showdown at Hampden Park this weekend.
