SINGER Jon Ansell will not face court over claims he attacked a pregnant woman.
The G4 star, who shot to fame on X Factor, was quizzed by police last May after an alleged incident with the mum-to-be in Glasgow city centre.
The woman was believed to have needed a hospital check-up, while Ansell was reportedly held in police cells before being freed in time for his band's concert in the city.
The matter was reported to the procurator fiscal.
But a Crown Office spokesman yesterday said they had decided not to prosecute the 25-year-old.
He said: "Following full and careful consideration of all the facts, it was decided it was not in the public interest to proceed with a prosecution."
Ansell and his G4 colleagues were runners-up on X Factor in 2005. The band has released two best-selling albums.
