TROUBLED boxer Scott Harrison is facing a triple-whammy of court dates after being arrested on drugs charges in Glasgow city centre.

The former world champion is in custody after being arrested along with a 35-year-old man in Sauchiehall Street.

Harrison, 29, spent last night in a cell in the city's Stewart Street police station and was expected to appear in court today.

The ex-WBO featherweight titleholder is currently on bail after spending five weeks in a Spanish jail in connection with an alleged assault.

The latest arrest comes days after he failed to turn up for a disciplinary meeting in front of the British Board of Boxing Control in Cardiff.

Tomorrow he is due to stand trial in Spain for assault and car theft. If he doesn't make the hearing, his manager Barry Hughes could lose £20,000 he paid to bail him out of prison.

He is also scheduled to appear in court in Glasgow on Monday, on assault allegations.

Harrison and his cousin Eddie Cairns McGill were arrested in connection with drugs offences on Tuesday night.

It is believed that Harrison, of Cambuslang, near Glasgow, will face a charge that he was in possession of valium tablets.

The Scot is also facing severe financial problems after fighting off bankruptcy proceedings last month.

Harrison told a court he planned to sell one or two of his houses to pay a tax bill of £83,778.
