CLYDE boss Joe Miller has torn into his dodgy defenders after two late strikes gave them a more respectable score in losing to Ross County.

Andy Ferguson and Steve Masterton netted towards the end of the clash to make the score 4-2 against the Challenge Cup winners.

But a Dougie Imrie own goal, a double from Don Cowie and a strike by Kevin McKinlay had already given the victors a comfortable three points.

And Miller was bitterly unhappy with the Broadwood club's lacklustre performance against their lowly First Division opponents.

An angry Miller said: "Individually and collectively, I thought our attitude was appalling.

"Every single goal they scored was down to one of our mistakes. It is unacceptable.

"We started the match well and looked to be on top, but after we lost that own goal, we seemed to stop attacking the ball and lost our concentration."
