Thieves flee with a minibus, 30 cases of Desperados, 5 cases of Bulmers and more than 40 bottles of spirits, in double-raid on York clubs
THIEVES stole a minibus, cash and a huge haul of alcohol when they raided two York sports and social clubs.
York Acorn RL Club in Thanet Road and Dringhouses Sports Club in nearby St Helen's Road were broken into last night or early this morning.
At York Acorn, the thieves stole:
- The club's white Ford Transit minibus, after taking the keys
- Around 30 cases of Desperados beer
- 5 cases of Bulmers red berry cider
- Around 40 bottles of spirits
At Dringhouses Sports Club, sometime between 12.45am and 8am today, the thieves took two bottles of vodka, a bottle of brandy and around £60.
