A MAN who suffered a serious head injury in an attack at a York house remains in hospital.
The 27-year-old was assaulted at a property in Moore Avenue, off Osbaldwick Lane, at about 7.20pm on Thursday.
Armed North Yorkshire Police officers and a dog unit were sent to the disturbance, and the man's injuries were initially thought to be life threatening.
A police spokesman said yesterday the man is now in "a stable condition" at Hull Royal Infirmary.
A 36-year-old woman arrested at the scene on suspicion of wounding with intent in connection with the incident has been released on conditional police bail while enquiries continue.
