A MAN cleared of being a peeping tom has been barred indefinitely under a restraining order from going anywhere near the woman who found his camera in her bathroom.
York magistrates also gave Mark Lund, 37, a 12-month community order for stalking the same woman which included a rehabilitation programme and 200 hours’ unpaid work. He had spent some months in custody on remand before the sentencing hearing.
Lund, of Meadow View, Sherburn- in-Elmet, admitted harassing the woman after the camera incident between July 18 and September 27 by sending her numerous emails, texts, letters and flowers.
He denied a charge of voyeurism over the camera and was acquitted at a trial.
In addition to the community and restraining orders, he was also ordered to pay £85 prosecution costs and a statutory surcharge of £60.
