A taxi driver has been jailed for a minimum of 27 years for the murder of his estranged wife's lover.
Oktay Kilic, 40, of Harrogate, confronted Mark Leslie John Berney, 44, and fatally injured him with a kitchen knife.
He had tracked down the Knaresborough victim by using a smart phone which he placed in his wife's car and a computer.
Mr Berney was found with what police described as "horrendous" injuries on the B6165 at Whipley Bank in Ripley, and despite the efforts of paramedics, died at the scene shortly after 9.30pm on August 3.
He was jailed for life with a minimum of 27 years after a jury convicted him of murder at Leeds Crown Court. He had denied the charge.
