A BOY who was hit by a bus on his way to school is doing well in hospital, police have said.
The 11-year-old was hit by the number 4 service on Tadcaster Road near to the junction with Pulleyn Drive at 8.10am on Friday and was trapped underneath the vehicle.
He was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary suffering from injuries to his arms and legs after being attended to by a doctor who crawled underneath the bus to treat the youngster.
North Yorkshire Police yesterday confirmed he is in a comfortable condition in hospital.
