1) 19 April 1990 - Villagers prepare to begin work on a new £250,000 community hall for Poppleton and district

2) 20 September 1973 - The railway carriage which was used as a home by Walter and Evelyn Edwards. They were featured in the Evening Press in 1973, aged 79 and 77 respectively. They moved in to the 'temporary home' 40 years earlier and had never left.

3) 20 December 1978 - Alison Fordman, Pauline Craven, Anne Clark, Ethel Sellers and Kathie Brydson of Poppleton with a cookery book they had helped create.

4) 18 May 1995 - Painter and decorator Steve Smithson, pictured with colleague Steve McMullan, paints the Poppleton Maypole

5) 23 October 1999 - Poppleton Junior Football Club U-14s, with Ken Frankland of Topps Tiles and club manager Andy Janes

6) 16 April 1997 - Ongoing work on York Business Park near Poppleton

7) 16 May 1962 - All Saints Church in Upper Poppleton. The village was described as having grown rapidly in recent years.

8) 22 May 1989 - The new £70,000 Scout and Guide headquarters in Poppleton. It was opened by the chief guide commissioner for North East England, Jean Garside, and Mr Tom Cran, North Yorkshire's County Commissioner for Scouts, watched by Rosemary hazel and Dr Stanley hazel, deputy mayor of harrogate, with members.
