MEMBERS of the public have been urged not to approach an owl which escaped in East Yorkshire.
The Eastern European Eagle Owl was reported missing from a property in Easton Road, Bridlington, at about 6.30pm on Thursday.
Humberside Police said the owl has a wingspan of about 20 inches, and escaped with a seven-foot metal chain still attached to it.
The owl is not used to dealing with anyone but its owners, so any sightings should be reported to Humberside Police on 101.
