A DOG which has been in the care of an animal charity for more than 200 days is still in need of a home.
Gigi is a one-year-old terrier cross which staff at the Blue Cross pet charity believe may never have experienced a loving family home.
The dog is being looked after at the charity's rehoming centre in Topcliffe, where Caroline Thompson, deputy manager, said she hoped visitors would take her on.
Caroline said: "We don’t think poor Gigi has spent much time in a family home, if any at all, and for such a young dog to grow up in kennels is really sad. We don’t know how or why she found herself all alone, we just hope that she will soon find the loving home she truly deserves."
In her seven months with Blue Cross, Gigi has undergone training with the charity team, and has spent time with the centre’s volunteers and keeps staff company in offices.
If you can give Gigi a home, phone 0300 7771540 or go to bluecross.org.uk
