Man charged with attempted rape over York assault
A MAN has appeared in court today charged with attempted rape in York city-centre.
Nathan O'Brien, 22, of Walmgate, is accused of trying to rape a woman in the early hours of Sunday.
He appeared before York magistrates this morning for a five-minute hearing.
There was no application for bail and he has been remanded in custody, ahead of a further hearing at York Crown Court on November 10.
