A WOMAN was injured in a hit and run incident in Harrogate this weekend.
The 38-year-old woman was walking in Victoria Road at the corner of Esplanade at about 1am on Sunday, when North Yorkshire Police said she was struck by a car.
A police spokesman said the woman was knocked to the ground by the vehicle, which left the scene without stopping, and was taken to Harrogate District Hospital with minor injuries.
Detectives said the driver of the vehicle is believed to be a man in his late 20s and there were also women or girls in the car, and urged anyone who saw the incident or who can help identify the driver or passengers in the car, to contact them.
