AN AWARD-WINNING stained glass artist will be talking about her craft during a lecture in York next month.
Helen Whittaker, creative director of Barley Studio at Dunnington, will speak at the Stained Glass Centre at St Martin cum Gregory Church in Micklegate, York, at 7.30pm on Thursday October 2, when tickets costing £6, or £5 concessions, will be available on the door.
Helen, who has had commissions for Ely Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, Selby Abbey, Beverley Minster and The Royal Air Force Club in London, will describe her inspirations, including context, narrative, geometry and movement, as well as the process of creating new art to commission.
