BANK staff have been threatened and tied up in an armed robbery.
Two masked men went into the TSB bank in Manor Street in Bridlington and threatened four staff members before tying them up and demanding cash as the staff prepared to open up at about 9am on Saturday.
The men then made off from the bank with cash in a white VW Golf leaving the staff members shaken but otherwise unhurt.
Two men were arrested in the early hours of this morning as detectives continue to investigate the armed robbery. Both men remain in custody.
A spokesman for Humberside Police said: "The alarm was raised at around 9.10am soon after the robbery had happened.
"At this time it appears two males have carried out the robbery, threatening staff and tying them up in the process.
"We are treating this incident very seriously and would urge any members of public with information to come forward."
Humberside Police have not disclosed the weapon used.
