POLICE are hunting for this man on suspicion of assaulting a woman in York.
Christopher Bell, 35, of Seventh Avenue, is wanted on suspicion of assaulting a 22-year-old woman in the Walmgate area of the city.
He is described as 5ft 10in tall, with a stocky build, brown hair and brown eyes.
Det Sgt Alan Williams, of York police, said: “Christopher Bell is well aware that we are looking for him and the best thing he can do is hand himself in.
“We will keep knocking on doors until we find him and the longer he spends evading the police the worse the consequences will be when we do catch up with him.”
“I am urging the public to contact the police or Crimestoppers if they have any information that can help us to locate him.”
Officers have been making inquiries in the York area since the incident on August 23 in an effort to locate Bell and are urging the public to be vigilant and get in touch if they see him or anyone matching his description.
Anyone who can help is urged to call North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option one – and pass information to the force control room.
