JOHN GALVIN, show secretary of the Ancient Society of York Florists, checks his dahlias in his garden before tomorrow's show at Askham Bryan College.
The show will held in the sports hall and is open to the public between 11am and 3pm. Admission is £1, with children going free.
John said: "The show promises to be excellent, with first class exhibits. It will be a show not to miss and well worth a visit. There will be fine show of vegetables and seasonal flowers along with a variety of pot plants. Exhibits of baking, flower arranging and photography will also be on show. I hope we will get a good turnout of visitors to share this horticultural spectacle”
Homemade refreshments will be available.
