A TEENAGER has been airlifted to hospital with serious head injuries after apparently falling from a first-floor window.
The 18-year-old man was found in Starbeck High Street, Harrogate, close to Elite Meat, with injuries which a spokeswoman for the Yorkshire Ambulance Service said "could be quite serious".
The spokeswoman said an ambulance, a rapid response vehicle and the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART), were sent to the scene at 3.05pm, where the teenager was found with serious injuries, including head injuries.
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance was also sent to the scene, and transported the boy to Leeds General Infirmary, where he remains.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said they attended the scene at about 3.25pm, and believed the boy had suffered the injuries in a fall from a first floor window.
He said the circumstances around the incident were not believed to be suspicious, and nobody is being sought in connectino with the incident.
Anyone who saw the boy prior to the ambulance crews arriving should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101.
