DETECTIVES are still searching for a York offender who is wanted for recall to prison.
Michael William Powell, 30, was sentenced to five years imprisonment for robbery in December 2011, but released in June.
Police said Powell, who is white, six feet tall, with a medium build and dark brown hair, has displayed poor behaviour while on licence, and searches in York have so far proved unsuccessful.
Although his whereabouts are unknown officers believe that Powell is in the Northampton or Milton Keynes areas.
Detective Inspector Graeme Wright, of York CID, said: "Michael, if you see or hear this message, I strongly urge to hand yourself in at the nearest police station. We are not going to stop our searches for until you are back in custody. By remaining at large you are only making the consequences worse for yourself.
"I am asking anyone who sees Powell to contact the police straight away. In particular, people living in Milton Keynes or Northampton, or anyone who seen him travelling between the two areas."
Anyone with information should phone North Yorkshire Police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
