A 51-year-old man suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle crash on a North Yorkshire road.
The man was riding an Aprilia RSV 1000R in Coldhill Lane, near Sherburn in Elmet, when the crash occurred, with a blue Seat Ibiza at about 8pm last night.
A North Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said the man, from Leeds, suffered serious injuries to his leg and hands, and was taken to Leeds General Infirmary.
The driver of the Seat, a 22-year-old woman from Normanton, suffered cuts to her face, and was taken to York Hospital.
The road was closed to allow recovery of the vehicles, and reopened at about 4am.
