I hope the kids get the results they deserve over the 2-3 year period of work. You can relax a little after your anxieties and worries about the exam results.

What about canon lee's results under the new head teacher? The new head teacher has had 2 years in post so these results are entirely down to her. She has made a lot of changes so look forward to seeing the results.

Agee - COYC and the governors have been happy to support the new 'regime' at Cannon Lee. Anyone know when they will be released??

Maybe they are trying to find a maths teacher to work out the percentages?

Well Done to all at All Saint R.C school. I think there may be a story the press should follow from BBC about why one subject English Literature is such a low score nationally whilst others are static or above.

Probably best that The Press sticks to local stories - like what % of Canon Lee pupils got 5 A*-C grades, including English & Maths?

No matter what spin Christne Holbery puts on this these are shocking results from Cannon Lee - when the COYC average was 64%

Well there is more than just Cannon Lee School too, and also All Saints are investigating why English Literature is so low, see it effects York schools also.

But it is worse than that. The COYC overall figure of 64% is for 5 x A*-C grades including English & Maths. The Canon Lee figure of 55% is (we assume) for 5 x A*-C grades in ANY subjects. I reckon the Canon Lee figure including English & Maths could be quite a bit lower.

And here are the Canon Lee results from 2013, taken from the Press archive -
" 64% 5+ A* - C inc. English and Maths
88% 5+ A* - C
100% 5+ A* - G"

So...this year's 55% 5 A*-C is either down from 88% or 64%, depending on how they have counted it. And the 93% getting 5 A*-G appears to be down from 100% last year. Although they say it has gone up.

All in all, hardly a massive endorsement for the new head's way of doing things.
