2-car crash on A64
THE A64 was closed south of York after two cars crashed this morning.
A red Volkswagen Beetle and a black Toyota Corolla collided on the west-bound carriageway, near the A19 junction.
One of the cars went through the crash barrier. Firefighters were also called and the road was closed while 999 crews dealt with the crash. One lane has now re-opened.
The drivers suffered only minor injuries, say police.
