ONE of Britain’s most notorious prisoners is preparing to change his name in memory of artist Salvador Dali.
Charles Bronson was born Michael Gordon Peterson in 1952 and was jailed in 1974 for armed robbery. He is currently in Full Sutton Prison, near York.
He took the name of the Hollywood star on suggestion from a fight promoter during a brief period of freedom in the late 1980s, but has now announced he is set to change his name to Charles Salvador after the Surrealist artist.
