TO COMMEMORATE the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War the British Library has joined with Europeana to host the First World War Family History Roadshow.
The event takes place today from 11am-5pm at the British Library, Boston Spa, Wetherby.
People are being invited to bring any items they may own associated with the First World War, along with the stories behind them. Experts will then record the story of the object and it will be added to Europeana’s online archives.
This event aims to commemorate the outbreak of World War One.
Jill Cousins, Europeana’s executive director, said: “Europeana is delighted to collaborate with the British Library on the First World War Family History Roadshow at Boston Spa.”
