Police speak to man after he jumps into river
EMERGENCY services have been called after a man jumped off Millennium Bridge into the River Ouse in York to cool down.
The man was seen to jump into the river at about 3.30pm.
When North Yorkshire Police spoke to him he had indicated he wanted to cool down.
He was given "words of advice" by the police, a force spokeswoman said.
