Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital after crash in Towthorpe Road

A MOTORCYCLIST suffered injuries to his head and legs when his bike collided with a car near York.

The 59-year-old man was riding a blue Kawasaki Ninja in Towthorpe Road at about 5pm on Sunday when he collided with a white Citroen DS4.

He was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary for treatment. A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said his injuries were not thought to be life-threatening, A passenger in the Citroen suffered minor injuries in the crash.
