AN eight-year-old girl was taken to hospital after her foot was impaled by a garden fork in North Yorkshire.
Fireighters called our to assist an ambulance crew as they treated the casualty in the East Way area of Whitby.
"The fire crew used manpower to remove the fork and assisted paramedics administer first aid prior to the girl being taken to hospital," said a spokesman for North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue.
