THE footbridge that crosses the A19 at St Peter’s School, Clifton, will be closed for repairs during the summer and early autumn.
A temporary pedestrian crossing will be installed and work on the bridge is due to start in early August.
The estates manager for St Peter’s School, Giles Roberts, said: “We are undertaking necessary repairs so it can continue to provide a safe crossing for our pupils and members of the public.”
The A19 will be closed from 8.30pm on Wednesday, August 6, and reopened at 4am on Thursday, August 7, with diversion routes in place, to enable removal of the central bridge deck.
