POLICE are searching for Wayne Richard Porter, who is wanted for recall to prison.

Porter, 28, from Boroughbridge, was sentenced to two years in prison in 2013 for possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply, but has failed to comply with his licence after being released from prison in February.

Porter is white, 5ft 10in tall with a medium build and dark brown hair, and police said they believe he is in the Boroughbridge or Harrogate areas.

Inspector Andy Chapman, of Harrogate Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: "Wayne, if you see or hear this appeal, I strongly urge you to hand yourself in to the police. We have a proven track record of returning wanted people to custody. The longer you delay the inevitable you are only making matters worse for yourself.

"I am also asking members of the public who see Porter to get contact the police straight away. Officers have already visited a number of addresses where Porter is believed to have links. These visits will continue until he is back in custody."

Anyone with information should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
