A TWELVE-year-old boy who suffered serious head injuries in a motorcycle accident in East Yorkshire was in a stable condition in hospital yesterday.
The boy had no helmet on when the blue Yamaha motorcycle he was riding collided with a silver coloured Nissan Almera at lunchtime on Saturday in Woldgate, Bridlington.
He suffered multiple fractures to his body as well as head injuries and was flown by air ambulance to James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough.
A three-year-old child, who was riding as a pillion passenger, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary for treatment. The Nissan driver, a 31-year-old Bridlington man, sustained minor whiplash injuries.
