HGV driver sought after motorbike fatal crash
DETECTIVES investigating a crash in which a 39-year-old woman was killed have urged the driver of a HGV to contact them.
The woman, who was from the Rotherham area, was the pillion passenger on a Honda motorcycle travelling on the A1237 at Knapton at about 11.15am on Sunday.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said the bike, which was driven by a man from the Rotherham area, had overtaken a HGV - described as curtain-sided with red curtains and white rear doors - before the crash.
The rider was also hurt in the crash. The identity of the woman has not yet been released.
