Consumer watchdogs in York have warned World Cup fans to be wary of holiday deals which seem too good to be true after bringing a travel company to book.
TravelnTravel.co.uk lured consumers with the promise of cheap flights, but failed to honour them, an investigation involving York Council trading standards officers revealed.
Cllr Tracey Simpson-Laing, York Council’s Cabinet Member for Safer Communities, said: “People planning to make last minute arrangements to visit Brazil to watch the World Cup games should heed the warning this case gives.”
