POLICE have released a CCTV image of a man they want to trace in connection with the assault of a student in York.
The 21-year-old woman, who is an archaeology student from the University of York, was walking near Lawrence Street in the early hours of Monday, when she was punched three times in the face by a man.
She was not seriously hurt, but was treated at York Hospital, and North Yorkshire Police yesterday released this image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the attack.
Anyone with information or who recognises the man should phone police on 101, email YorkCID@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk or phone Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
