THE 1st Easingwold Scout Group can continue to have fun at the Easingwold Outdoor Centre.

Graeme Burn, of solicitors Burn & Company, provided free legal services through to the Scout group to secure a 100-year peppercorn lease for the outdoor centre.

In recognition of his services to Scouting, the group presented Mr Burn with an engraved pepper grinder filled with 100 peppercorns, in case future generations of Scouts ever need to borrow one to pay the rent.

Mr Burn negotiated the deal with Easingwold Town Council.

Easingwold Town Councillor Robert Snook, who encouraged and supported the negotiation, also attended the presentation.

The not-for-profit facility owned by the 1st Easingwold Scout Group is used by up to 200 children per week from schools, nurseries and youth and community groups.
