A YOUNG family who were subject to a terrifying ordeal when a masked gang stormed into their home last year will feature on a Crimewatch appeal this evening.
The Kempleys' home in High Birstwith near Harrogate was broken into in December by four armed men.
The men, who were of Asian appearance, threatened the family and took six shotguns, a rifle and a collection of expensive jewellery before escaping in the family's white Porsche 911, which they later abandoned on White Wall Lane, in Tang.
A reconstruction and appeal by family members will feature in the programme broadcast at 9pm today.
Mother Leigh and son Ben, who was just 16 at the time of the attack, will retell their ordeal.
Ben said: "The threats they were posing was initially was that they would kill my mum and sister. When you get told that by people you don't know in balaclavas with crowbars it's a serious threat."
