FOUR generations of one family gathered at a York hotel to celebrate a great-grandmother's 80th birthday.
Evelyn Maw, nee Dickinson, from the Stockton Lane area, was joined on her birthday on Saturday afternoon at the Pavilion Hotel in Fulford by her three daughters, Karen, Christine and Susan.
Also there were her six grandchildren, Sophie, Daniel, Amy, Sam, Sean and Ben, and four great grandchildren, Alfie, Isabella, Megan and George.
Karen said her mother, who was brought up in the Burton Stone Lane area and is married to John, worked at the former Timothy Whites chemists in Coney Street and then at ASDA.
