The occupants of a silver 4x4 have been urged to contact police after a collision in Carr Lane, Acomb.
The crash happened at about 1.30pm on Friday, when the vehicle collided with two parked cars - a silver Citroen and a grey Ford Mondeo - causing damage to both.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said the occupants of the 4x4 were believed to be a man, a woman, and a 12-year-old child, and the vehicle did not stop following the crash, but left via Rosedale Avenue.
Inspector Neil Drummond of York police said: “Anyone who can assist our appeal for information is asked to call us as soon as possible. Although no one was injured in the parked vehicles, it’s possible that the occupants of the silver 4 x 4 were injured and may require medical attention.”
Anyone with information or who saw the crash should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101.
A car was also damaged in an accident on Wigginton Road, near the railway level crossing just outside York yesterday, but police had no information about the crash.
