Traffic problems in York
FAULTY traffic lights are causing heavy traffic in York tonight.
The lights at the exit from Morrisons into Foss Islands Road are stuck on red, meaning traffic is backing up in the area.
A spokesman for First Group transport said: "This has been reported to City of York Council and they have sent engineers out to fix the problem.
"This is causing long tailbacks down Foss Islands and is affecting traffic down Lawrence street."
The spokesman said heavy traffic along Fulford Road towards the A19 is also causing delays of up to 25 minutes to the Park and Ride Service 7.
