THE air conditioning unit on the roof of a coach was damaged when it struck the underside of a railway bridge in Leeman Road, York, at 4.54 pm this afternoon.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said the vehicle was briefly stuck, closing the road and causing traffic chaos, before subsequently being removed.
He said it was understood that the bridge was undamaged.
