POLICE want to speak to this man after a disabled busker was racially abused in York.

The victim was an eastern European who has no legs and he was sitting on his skateboard busking when the incident happened in Coney Street, York, last Saturday, April 26.

He was approached by a man at about noon who abused him and kicked over his belongings before leaving the scene when other people intervened.

Following an appeal for witnesses earlier this week, officers have received a good response from the public and they have released pictures taken by a passer-by.

They are now asking anyone who recognises the man in the images to contact them with information.

Contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option two and ask for PC Fiona Wilding or York police. Alternatively, information can be emailed to fiona.wilding@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk or Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
