A WAR medal has been stolen from the home of an elderly person in Pocklington.
A bungalow in Algarth Rise in the town was broken into between April 22 and 27 when the homeowner was not in the premises.
Items stolen from the home included a Merchant Navy Suez Campaign medal, two jewellery boxes containing a quantity of jewellery and watches, an antique piano stool, piano sheet music, audio equipment, a steam cleaner, a remote control helicopter, a cine projector and a Sports Master .22 air rifle.
Officers investigating the case are asking for anyone with information about the burglary or anyone who may have been offered any of the items listed, to contact them, quoting crime reference CJ/2041444/14.
