Two young men have denied being the robbers who allegedly held up staff at a newsagent’s at knifepoint.
Luke Aaron Russell, 21, and Jake Nolan, 18, both of Cromer Street, are accused of taking £1,897 in cash from McColl’s store on Crichton Avenue, Clifton, on January 18. Both men denied charges of robbery and carrying a knife in public.
They were remanded in custody until their trial which will be at York Crown Court on June 16.
