DETECTIVES searching for a wanted York man have urged anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact them.

Daniel Pullman, 23, was sentenced to four years imprisonment in 2011 for arson, and released on parole in 2012 but was arrested following the aggravated theft of a vehicle in York. He was sentenced to 15 months in prison for stealing a car and driving dangerously through York city centre.

He was again released from prison last month, but has failed to comply with the terms of his release licence.

Pullman is white, 6ft 2in tall with a broad build and fair hair, and officers believe he is in the York area.

Detective Inspector Dave Kirby, of York CID, said: “Daniel, if you see or hear this appeal, I strongly advise you to hand yourself in at the nearest police station immediately. This is not something which will go away. We will not stop looking for you until you are back in custody. By delaying this outcome, you are only delaying the inevitable and making matters worse for yourself.

"I am also asking anyone who knows where Daniel Pullman is to contact the police straight away. If you are shielding Pullman, you should be aware that you are not helping him and may even be committing offences yourself. If this is the case, you face the very real prospect of arrest and prosecution.”

Anyone with information should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
