AN Indian restaurant in a converted windmill near Selby has been badly damaged by fire this morning.
Fire crews were called to the Spice Mill restaurant in Landing Lane, Riccall, at 3.50am.
The building was well alight and four fire engines and an aerial ladder plaftform were used to extinguish the flames.
The fire was confirmed to have been extinguished about three hours later.
There is severe fire damage to the building, North Yorkshire Fire Service said.
Fire investigation officers are at the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
