FIIREFIGHTERS have been called to a house fire in the Chapelfields area of York.
Crews were called to Chapelfields Road at 4pm today.
When the crews arrived at the smoke filled house they found the cause of the smoke was a pan left unattended.
Before they got there a neighbour had removed the pan and turned the gas off.
Fire crews ventilated the property and fitted two smoke alarms, North Yorkshire Fire Service said.
