THE Archbishop of York will again be performing outdoor baptisms in a large tank of water outside York Minster on Saturday.
Dr John Sentamu, along with local church leaders, will be baptising 13 Christians from different denominations through total immersion from 2.30pm.
He said this would be the eighth year of outdoor baptisms, during which people made a public commitment to following Christ.
“All are invited; bring a towel and take your step forward in faith!” said the Archbishop, who with the candidates’ own church leader will be in the water to baptise all candidates.
The baptism service has been organised by One Voice York, a network of Christian churches and leaders of different denominations working together across the city.
